I used to buy two packs and put them in the cupboard in the hall. Motion detection is very fast and bright enough to see the back of a closet I'm storing things in. Last year we bought a basic fridge/freezer for our garage to store extra food due to Covid causing a perishable shortage. There was no light in the freezer so it was hard to see what we were storing without a flashlight. I bought an extra pack of two motion sensor light bulbs and put one in the freezer. The problem is solved. Light holds a charge even at low temperatures. Trust me, these little guys will do just fine when you don't have an available light source.
