Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I upgraded from 9600K. It's not that I missed it - I just wanted to buy a top-end processor from the Coffee Lake family for a long time, because. I really love coffee :) In some games, the performance increased noticeably, which I did not expect. For example, in my build of Quake on the DarkPlaces engine, in many heavy scenes, the FPS increased from 32 to 38, from 45 to 59. Many people write that this is too powerful a processor for games. This is not true, in Cyberpunk 2077 the CPU usage can be over 70%. In addition, I shifted the PhysX calculations from the video card to the processor (I have an Nvidia RTX 2070), offloading the video card. On the MSI Z390 GAMING EDGE AC motherboard, with the default values in the BIOS, very often the processor frequency is set to 5GHz for several or all cores. Boxed processor, new stepping R0 (protection against vulnerabilities of the ZombieLoad family appeared at the hardware level), bought from computeruniverse in early April 2022 for 22,000, in total, together with delivery and customs duty, it turned out a little more than 23,500. There were some adventures: after turning on the computer with the new processor, Windows began to hang tightly during loading and the cooler began to rotate at maximum speed. Even the Reset button did not help, only turning off the computer by holding the Power button for 3 seconds. After much torment and unsuccessful experiments, I ated the BIOS - and everything worked fine. It turned out that it was the new stepping of the processor - because of the new protection against vulnerabilities, a new version of the BIOS was required. Another important point: I recommend lowering the processor voltage in the BIOS settings. So you lower its temperature and power consumption without losing performance. How much you can lower - depends on the specific instance. I managed to lower it by 0.05V with completely stable operation (see BIOSa screenshot). The temperature dropped by about 7*C. I cool with an Enermax LiqMax III (ELC-LMT120-HF) cooler. In Cyberpunk 2077, the temperature does not exceed 70*C. During normal operation does not exceed 50*C.
