I bought these mirrors for my Nissan Altima, although it's a rather small car I've had it for many years and the blind spot has always bothered me. But lately I've had a few critical situations where I've changed lanes after looking in the mirror and still almost hit someone without seeing them until the very last second. Luckily for me, they were alert and reacted quickly by changing lanes. But, god forbid, things could have ended much worse and it would be entirely my fault if that had happened. So finally after the last close chat I said to myself that as soon as I got home I would contact Revain and order blind spot mirrors. or something like that. So when I looked at Revain, the most popular option is a small stick on a mirror that you tape to the mirror itself in the corner. But since I'm dealing with a small car and a small side mirror, I didn't think it would help much. So this one seemed a lot better to me because it's a pretty big mirror on its own that I just screwed on top of the side mirror. So after reading the details and some reviews. I decided to try these. Well, first of all, the installation itself was very simple and easy and I got it up and running in no time. And I was VERY VERY happy with the results, the blind spot especially on the right side where it was worse was now fully visible in the little new mirror. It actually works better than I could if I had hoped. But that brings me to today. I've been riding with them for a few weeks, maybe 2 months a little less. Holds up great, has never moved or moved from its place. To date I've popped into a car wash and remembered reading somewhere in the description that this wasn't a problem so I just popped in. Right in the first leg, when the brushes started, the right passenger flew. instantly! So I figured, uh, no big deal, I just need the right thing anyway. I even thought of removing the right one but didn't. So it came off, I thought it's okay, as long as my left side stays connected I'll be fine. bam Immediately after that, the left flew away and disappeared. So I thought ok. You should have known better and removed them before you entered. But I lived and studied, the hard way. But when I got out I told the guys who were mopping my car about it, I told them I thought it was going to happen but I told them it was out there somewhere. A few minutes later a guy came out with both mirrors and handed them to me. They were really unhurt! They even had screws! I of course thanked him for sending it back. So I think I'll put them on later today. So I would recommend not wearing them to a car wash. You might get lucky if it's tight enough. And mine generally want to lose and both expired as if nothing had happened. So I think taking them off is the right thing to do. I know I will next time. That's why I only gave 4 stars. But I really like these mirrors. They work great for blind spots.
