Review on πŸš€ Efficient Valterra RP800 Rocket Hand Pump: Chrome RV Camper Holding Tank Faucet Pump by Marcus Consumers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect. Tried three other types/brands/models and by far this one was the best for me.

This is the 4th manual rocker arm water pump I have purchased to try and find one that would work well in our 50 year old VW camper van. A market that looks more or less identical to what our bus had when brand new, but the (cheaper) buses never worked well and/or broke easily. While I want my "historic" car to look the same as it used to be, the functionality of this pump is such that I ended up installing it. This is true, can/does if the black plastic nut is not tightened. When you turn the spout, the nut may loosen and then there may be a little leakage around the nut. However, you can tighten the nut with your hands and viola. no leakage. The design (which is admittedly made of lots of plastic and chromed plastic parts), the amount of water it pumps with a lever movement, and the fact that it stays full (if the lever stays in the right position). position) makes it worth the money. YTT has a movie about it. New hand pump in our 1967 VW Wesfalia SO-42.
