The product is sturdy and well made although other reviewers reported that their product ripped at the seam. The hooks fit snugly although you have to be careful inserting them into the holes as there is a slot on the side that needs to be aligned. The hooks can fall out so I just take them out just before cleaning and set them aside. My lovebirds like to sit in it and hang out more than eat it, although they eat from it. It's hard for me to fill, although not impossible. I use a small cup like the duck sauce served at a Chinese restaurant. I bought two because it is so conducive. While they don't pour out as many seeds, it's harder to fill and clean, and you have to be careful with the hooks. They come out easily and I almost lost one down the chute while cleaning it in the sink. They like to nibble tree perch and now after 5 months of use I have to find a replacement perch. If I can't get a replacement perch, I'll have to make one. The small gaps between the perch and the first compartment can be a hazard for small birds, who may get their heads stuck in the trap when chasing the tasty seed that might fall down there.
