This grater is sharp! But even though it looks like a micro plane, it's not. The teeth are large and difficult to slide. I tried grating the lemon and it held the lemon so well my hand slipped and caught my knuckles. My other hand grater doesn't. I love that it comes with a plastic cap and a small brush for cleaning teeth. It's very clean and easy to rinse off, and the length makes it easy to hold. The edges are wrapped inside so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself on the edge of the grater. I have since thrown this tool away to avoid risking new cuts on my hands.
