Review on 🔫 AEM 21-744C Gunmetal Cold Air Intake System by Francisco Holmes

I had a few problems with this kit.1. The filter is advertised as an oil-free filter medium. However, he was overly lubricated. So after I installed the air intake and started the car, I immediately got a check engine light from the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor with oil residue. I have cleaned and reinstalled the sensor several times thinking that maybe the first pull from the filter and siphoning of that oil got onto the MAF sensor and after a few cycles it doesn't happen again. It wasn't like that. The bolts and tapped holes used to attach the MAF sensor to the aluminum tube are terrible.3. The seat of the intake pipe in the air filter housing is poorly designed. It relies on a rubber boot and clip on the turbocharger inlet to hold an additional 2ft of hose and filter in place and has no side filter box support. I bought this air intake because I need an oil free cold air intake (it's advertised) because oiled filters like the K&N ones can cause the same car problems I've experienced. I wasn't thrilled and returned the item.
