The idea of a ripple tool with an adjustable knob to change the size of the ripples is great. I expected it to be difficult to adjust the barrel, but in fact everything turned out to be quite easy. The wand looks good and is a good price. I'm usually fine with Remington products because they tend to be quite hot, but I found I couldn't get the waves to stay in my hair. It takes a lot more effort to style your hair in waves than in curls as you have to carefully work each section piece by piece, going down the length of your hair. With a curling iron you can wrap the entire length of hair around the barrel. Spending so much time styling and not having a hairstyle that lasts is very frustrating. If your hair doesn't curl well because it's straight or because you have a lot of thick hair, you may need a higher quality tool to get the job done. I don't think it's a bad tool, I just think it doesn't work for all hair types.
