Mine arrived undamaged. I had an unusual use for this knife holder due to my ADHD thinking outside the box, crazy problem solving lol. I used it to magnetize my remote controls to the wall. I wanted to free up space on my bedside table as it was cramped, and I also wanted my cats to avoid stepping on the remote controls (which they apparently aim to do on purpose). The magnets were an idea I came up with to make them easier to attach and remove from the wall than spacer type mugs while still looking fresh. I bought some of the metal plates you use on the back of phones to attach to the magnetic car mount. Attached them to the back of my remote controls. They were easy to bend or cut with large scissors to adjust if needed. Then I mounted the magnetic knife holder on the wall. It was very easy to do. I screwed one side directly into the wall stud and the other side I used a dowel to screw it into the wall. Very reliable, doesn't feel like it's going to fall off, but it does shake a bit when you attach or detach the remotes. It is not the base plate that wobbles, but the magnetic part. A little annoying, but not critical. I specifically chose this magnetic knife holder because it had a silicone coating and was black. I wish it was longer, more like 14 inches or 16 inches, but 10 inches is fine. The seller should consider offering larger items in the future. As well as other subtle colors, like maybe white and gray options. Overall, I definitely recommend this product.
