Works great with MotionPie software. The infrared panels get a little warm, but not too hot to the touch. I installed a 2.1mm lens which is a standard size you can buy here or on eBay for around $9. I'm looking for a way to compress the stream using H264 to lower the bitrate and get a higher resolution at more fps that RPI2 can handle. Maximum settings with MotionPie over Wi-Fi gives 1600 x 1200 100% quality and 2.5 fps, 2500 KB/s, and the settings I used, 1280 x 1024, 75% quality, gives 11 fps, 1000 KB/s. I'm attaching a picture of my settings so you can see for yourself. This setup looks better than my Foscam 9803P, but without H264 compression the bitrate is much higher. Overall I would rather build a camera than buy one. This is a pretty fun and easy project. Comment if you have any questions. Many Thanks.
