I just bought a new Le Crueset pot with a glass lid. The handles get very hot when cooking on the stove. I ordered these pens hoping they would take care of this issue. It's a thick silicone press that fits snugly and snugly on this particular pan. I noticed that the silicone grips still get quite hot! I checked my thermometer and it read 129-130 F. Still hot but I managed to get over it quickly. It reached this temperature after 20 minutes of cooking on low heat. I recommend using these oven mitts carefully after cooking, but the pan handles can be very hot. Remember these pens are just oven mitts.
