Review on Ullo Purifier Decanter Selective Sulfite by Juzer Rashid

I saw an ad on Facebook saying the filter can remove sulphites from wine. I react terribly to sulphites, my hands swell up and I have a BIG headache that makes me pass out for 2-3 days. Nothing helps my sulfite headaches except time, no matter what medications I take for sulfite headaches; nothing works. I've always wanted to drink wine but couldn't because of the horrible side effects of a three day migraine. I decided to take a risk and buy an Ullo wine filter. As soon as the filter arrived, I rushed to the liquor store and bought a bottle of wine. I asked a liquor store clerk if he knew about the Ullo filter, he said he had a friend who was a chemist and his friend said it was impossible to filter out sulphites from wine. My heart sank! I just spent a bunch of money on a filter he said wouldn't work! I figured I'd find out for myself, I had a weekend and I was going to risk spending the whole weekend in bed with a migraine! As soon as I got home, I opened the box and cocked my new bottle of wine. It was very easy to follow the instructions, the filter itself consists of three parts. The decanter is of really good quality and easy to clean. It has a nice wide base to keep it from tipping over. The first time it was a bit difficult to open the filter components; I was afraid I would break it. The filter has a rubber piece that needs to be pushed in to pop out of the bottom of the filter. If something can break on the filter, I think it can if you're not careful. After opening it for the first time, it's easy now. I bought a decanter to strain the whole bottle at once. I also filtered my wine glass a second time by placing the filter on top of the glass; that fit well. I drank a glass of wine and went to bed HOPING I wouldn't wake up at 2am with a headache. I woke up the next morning with no headaches! The next evening I tried another glass of wine, woke up with no headaches! Ullo wine filter WORKS! I go back to the liquor store and tell the worker that I have a pharmacist friend who works the filter and his pharmacist friend needs to go back to school! If you have a headache from wine and want to drink a glass of wine, try the filter, it worked for me!
