I bought a new chain and found that my very old chainring was worn out and stuck on the chain (chain sucks). I bought it and everything was fine for a while. Now, less than 2 months later, I have noticed that the chain is sticking to the teeth and the chain is slipping. I inspected the front sprocket and found that the gear teeth were deformed and the edges were knurled! The latest aluminum chainring has endured many years in rough and sandy off-road conditions. Now I just ride on the road and lubricate the chain well. You must be using better aluminum than that crap.
