I bought this 4TB Iron Wolf replacement drive for my NAS (QNAP TS251+). I converted a 4TB drive to USB and connected it to my NAS to add even more storage space. I take a lot of photos and videos and the 4TB drive has run out of space. This 8TB drive has been working great for about a month since I replaced it. It syncs with two USB sticks that I plug into both of my laptops. This allows me to save 3 versions of each file; one for each laptop and one for the NAS. they are automatically updated so I always have the latest version of each file. I've been using Seagate drives for many years now and can say they are as reliable as any other drive on the market, but I can't say they are trouble free. I've had a few failures over the years but overall they've outlasted their warranty by a couple of years (I've had 2 that were almost 30 years away and Seagate replaced both). These Iron Wolf models are fairly robust and handle the additional load of network drives well. The downside is that they aren't as fast as the ones I use on my computers.
