The ability for the system to be customizable is fantastic as it allows you to create your own solutions without having to use third party software such as Excel or R/Python. It has been very difficult getting some of our users who are more technically savvy to try out this product because they feel that there should not have to be any coding at all in order to accomplish what we need. I think if someone can get past the initial learning curve, then it will be well worth the effort put into learning how to code everything yourself (if you're willing). This tool was developed by programmers so it does take time to train people and help them understand exactly how things work. We used this product to manage portfolio risk reporting metrics between clients as well as internally within the organization. Fidessa is very user friendly and has a very good customer support team. The system is very flexible, and you can do almost anything you want with it. It has a very good risk engine and has a very good back-office. The system is not very robust, and can crash sometimes. It is a very good system for asset managers who have a very large customer base. Fidessa is a very good system for asset managers who have a very large customer base.
