If you have an Audi or VW, the original part tends to fall out over time and you CANNOT reuse it. At first I was skeptical about using this product but I really needed it so I bought it and it was a very wise decision. Don't use many non-genuine parts on your car, some of them are more like junk BUT this one worked really well for me. Check the one on your car and make sure it is sealed otherwise it could cause problems. The original part is on the intake manifold side, the side closest to the bulkhead.
