Bought 4 of these fans for several projects along with a speed controller to control them. The bearings are absolutely noiseless and very smooth-running. When the blade is rotated by hand, it takes a surprisingly long time to stop. They do make a bit of air noise, but honestly, at this size and RPM, that's to be expected. For my use I use them under 100% and closed so it's fine. At low speeds you'll notice the harmonic hum of the engine trying to push something. This is fairly common on this type of engine and the metal frame more or less reinforces this. So I can't complain. This will go away if you speed up the process or set it fairly tightly. Definitely very easy to use. Same as 120V plug (no forced wiring). Interestingly, they use a 3D printed adapter on the fan itself, which works great. Works great with the smoke depleting the laser cutter!
