I rarely write reviews but these are great calipers. You are not easy. I've had several of these, including a pair of very expensive professional calipers. To me, "light” design means cheap and fragile. They all fell apart after a year or so. In each case, the cheap plastic battery door broke and/or the battery contacts failed. Another very common mistake: Readings became erratic, often dropping to zero at random slider positions. Acemeter calipers feature durable metal construction that delivers accurate readings every time. The metal battery cover is durable. Not a bad battery either. It uses the readily available CR2032. Everyone else ate tiny batteries like the Hungry Behemoth! The body is good too. For many years he worked as a technician, locksmith, then as a designer. These calipers are professional quality. These calipers are a real find!
