Could Have Been Great - One Glaring Problem!

This would have been an awesome purchase with the exception of one glaring problem, the sink flange where the water drains from the basin sticks up about 1/8" so the sink never drains completely. They cold pressed brushed stainless over a plastic core so the edge is unable to go flush with the surface of the sink like every other flange made by all sink and tub manufacturers. This may not seem like a big deal, but in places where hard water is a problem, the pool of standing water slowly evaporates leaving mineral deposits that build and bond to the sink surface. Over time these deposits can ruin the sink, especially in rental properties where care may not be the same as in an owner maintained home. It's also a sanitary issue unless you take care to wash all dirt and debris down the drain leaving only clean water standing in the sink. In any case this is a "BAD DESIGN" and should be fixed, with correct flanges being sent to all those who purchased these faucets prior to the redesign. One other potential problem over time is the plastic mixing compartment of the water. Typically these are made of cast brass and are quite substantial in their build. As the durability can only be monitored over the life of the faucet, it's unknown how long this portion will remain operational. As for the rest of the product, the packaging is impressive, you get spare hot and cold screw access covers and an allen wrench should you have to pull a handle. Each unit also comes with a full roll of Teflon tape which can be used for other DIY projects. They include a pair of white cotton gloves to do a clean install and the faucet is shipped in a handy fabric bag which can be repurposed as well! I can live without the gloves, bag and extra tape if they would fix the flange issue. Because this is such a common item, the flange design trying to save money by pressing stainless material over plastic rather then shipping a solid stainless flange should be a "DEAL BREAKER" for anyone looking to replace a bathroom faucet with any models made by this manufacturer. Until they redesign their flanges, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OR ANY OTHER FAUCET IN THEIR LINE.

Pros
  • The easy-to-install basin mixer tap can be installed efficiently with no prior experience
Cons
  • Uncomfortable to grip
