Some quality control issues; I bought two and one, the seal works fine, the other doesn't. The piston doesn't fit properly in the tube, causing it to swing back and forth. This can easily be fixed, but the designers halted development before it was finished. Black - against a black background, the measurement is really hard to see; if the print was WHITE or the lettering was WHITE, then there would be a contrast, that would be nice! much more precise than an adjustable "sliding spoon" type instrument. Metal spoons, which I also have. It's still a great tool I don't wish I didn't have, in the end I just wish they were better. -awr
