Review on πŸ–₯️ HP 2010I 20 Inch Diagonal Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Wide-Screen, Built-In Speakers, Anti-Glare Screen, HD 1600x900P Resolution, WC030AA#ABA by Kenny Noel

Replaced my 2009 with the best in my rating

As others have said and will say, this is a great monitor. I bought two of these. One 2010i is connected with a DVI cable and the other with a DVI to VGA cable. Very clear picture with excellent color reproduction for both connection types. I use it mostly for business applications and occasional PC gaming, and it's absolutely brilliant for whatever I need it for. At around $140, this screen is also excellent value for money. I replaced HP 2009m and ViewSonic VX710. There was nothing wrong with the 2009m (or ViewSonic for that matter), but I hated the 2009m's glossy screen finish. If I wanted a mirror, I would buy a mirror. The 2010i has a matte screen surface that obviously doesn't pick up light sources and reflections in a room like the 2009m does. Much better! However, there are a few things about the 2010i that bother me and deserve attention. The power button is in the lower right corner (same as 2009m). It often takes a few clicks before it responds to on/off. I mounted my two 2010i screens using a "Dual LCD Monitor Stand Desk Clamp" (available from Tyke Supply through Revain). They look great, but adjusting the tilt means I have to grab the lower bottom edges of the screen, which tends to turn the screen off. A bit annoying, but doesn't bother.2. When I use the Source button to switch from DVI to VGA, the monitor status window comes up and tells me it's scanning for input signals. I know what he's doing - I don't need to speak and he doesn't need to wipe half the screen with an obvious and annoying message! Maybe you can turn that off, but I haven't found that option yet.3. A genius at HP thought it would be a good idea to put a long sticker along the top edge of the display's plastic bezel. These are ordinary things. HP logo, screen resolution stats, connection types, etc. Everything you already know, but okay. There's nothing wrong with just taking it off, right? Not correct! The adhesive used by HP is strong enough to hold when the sticker is peeled off. So far I've tried duct tape, WD-40 and Goo Gone and the glue is still there. The tape didn't remove the glue, the WD-40 just smeared the glue and the Goo Gone did nothing. I'm absolutely paranoid about these chemicals getting onto the LCD screen. Why do we need a sticker, and if we need one, why are we using the same glue that builds roads? And yes, I peeled off the sticker very gently, but it didn't help. Absolutely stupid. So if you're looking for a great LCD screen at a great price and a job of glue cleaning that will sap your will to live, the 2010i has it covered.
