I read a number of reviews before purchasing this KVM. The pair mentioned the screen flickering and not using the DP cables that came with the device. People also mentioned the remote control. Honestly, I don't need a remote control. I hooked it up to my DP cables (one Revain Basics DP cable, the other came with the docking station) for several hours and had no problems. Installation was easy, just connecting the monitor, computer and power. My setup: MacBook Pro, Win 10 desktop with Intel graphics controller and Acer ED347CKR 34" UW-QHD 3440 x 1440 100Hz
