We have a lot of old, dirty woodwork that needs cleaning and we need something that will remove dirt without damaging the wood or patina. I have had very good luck with the Feed N Wax and Restore-a-Finish products and after reading the rave reviews here I ordered two packs. We've tried it on virgin, unwashed woodwork with old flood grime and on a door and frame that has already been washed with stubborn grime. Plain water did just as well on the flood dirt, and this cleaner removed nothing else from an already-washed door. and frame. Nothing. The door looked the same and the white terry cloth used to apply and remove the product didn't change color meaning it didn't lift anything. This will be one of my rare returns to Revain. I will continue to look for my HG in wood cleaners. Clean-a-Finish is definitely not up to Howard's standards.
