Disadvantages: There were problems measuring the outside temperature. Pros: The seller responded very well to this complaint. The outside temperature was consistently two degrees higher, both compared to several other thermometers and in the ice bath. It also had a problem: it read 69.9 F over a temperature range of around 67-73 F, which was totally unacceptable for my use. I don't know if the outside temperature issue is related to the unit I received or more generally to this particular model. The seller was a bit difficult to contact but after setting this up through the Revain feedback system the seller was very quick to respond. The room temperature was ok. I'm hesitating between 2 and 3 stars based on good selling quality, easy to read instrument and normal room temperature. I finally settled on two because I bought them specifically for outdoor use.
