I've used Oomoo 30 (6 hour cure) a few times and never had a problem so I chose 25 because of the faster cure time. I'm not saying you'll have the same result but 25 destroyed my carefully crafted parts. They were sculpted from wood, metal, styrene, and epoxy, and then covered in several coats of glossy paint so they were fairly smooth and shiny, with no undercuts, deep indentations, or grooves. I've made these parts to cast about 5 times and before that they came off perfectly with oomoo 30 and normal application of mold release spray. Firstly, however, this material did not cure in 75 minutes. After a few hours the mold was still sticky so I let it dry overnight. The next day I knew something was wrong as soon as I tried to take the form apart. I couldn't get the silicone pieces out without destroying them and damaging the mold. heartbreaking. I had some oomoo 25 left over and did a quick experiment with some of my other parts that I had successfully molded with oomoo 30 - this time I coated the parts with an incredibly tough mold release agent. However, I came to a similar conclusion: 2 of the 4 parts had to be removed from the mold and were badly damaged in the process. The other two reluctantly escaped unharmed. When using oomoo 30 these pieces almost fell out of the silicone mold. I do not know, whether I got a bad batch or what, but I will never use 25 again until they show me what exactly did I do wrong - if anything. I knew something was wrong as soon as I tried to parse the form. I couldn't get the silicone pieces out without destroying them and damaging the mold. heartbreaking.
