I gave up eating and decided to find something better. It took forever to get rid of my cats.

After one of my cats was diagnosed with struvite crystals and the vet gave me a very expensive bag of corn and offal to help her, I stopped eating and decided to find something better. It took forever to wean my cats off corn food and I refused to go back! I've spent a lot of time reading and trying to make my own raw cat food. with dr Elizabeth Hodkins' DVM's YOUR CAT was of great interest to me. She used frozen raw food for her cats. Please! Using raw foods has worked for me, especially when I discovered I didn't have to! So I decided to freeze dry and freeze. This gave me the freedom to recreate or open and serve the frozen product. Through the Primal website, I found a local vet that sells Primal Pronto frozen food for about $7 a pound. Still expensive but cats love it. I dilute freeze dried milk with goat milk, not water. My cats really enjoy eating this mix, I let it sit for about 15 minutes for the moisture to absorb. As a result, all cats feel great, including the cat with struvite. Humidity and good food seem to have made a difference to her. I tend to rotate foods from day to day: freeze dried frozen foods. Everyone LOVES chicken and salmon recipes, not so much turkey. Yes, they're more expensive, but they're easily worth $$ for the joy, companionship, and unconditional love they offer. And yes, I do offer kibble, but not much if one of them thinks they're starving. Nature's Variety Instinct Chicken Mix. The amount of dry food eaten during the day actually decreased as cats became accustomed to raw food. We have been using the product for two months. So far, so good! Fast forward 3 years! Shortly after the last test I switched vets and started making my own cat food. The cats are doing great. Problems with struvite crystals are a thing of the past. A cat with pancreatitis feels great. Still, keep this product handy and use it as a treat and also as a backup for the days I forget to thaw a bag of frozen food. Cats love variety and it's great to have food on hand that can be served almost immediately! My vet totally agrees with her diet, a huge WIN for everyone involved.
