Used this to hook up a backup camera and wanted the switch to turn it on when I wanted to, not just when reversing. It helped me change the interior. I didn't have to cut anything into the dashboard. It just sticks where you want to install it with 3M backing. Very easy to use with two wires, the back of the packaging will show you how to connect it to your application. If you are renting or don't want to change your interior this is ideal as it can be removed without knowing it was ever there. Simply loosen and pull off. Before I glued the dashboard, I wiped it with an alcohol wipe. This makes it better at high temperatures.
