Doesn't work as a tail/brake/brake light

Large size for my desired location. Appears very bright. Flush mount requires drilling a hole of about 5/8 inch for the wires. The only known issue is the inability to tie the brake and turn signal wires together at the red (light) wire. When this is done, both displays will flash. There are 3 wires in my application. Wiring harness (4 wire if ground is included) and the light is 2 wire (3 wire if ground is included).
