Review on 🌿 Green Flex-Drain Downspout Extension 85011 by Eddie Breezy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for heavy use, best for building materials

Based on other reviews calling it 'very stiff' I was wrong to conclude it was a strong material that stays in shape to direct water from gutter to gutter rain barrel. No, that is not so. Once opened, it already shows loosening of the accordion's joints. It's more like a thin tube. In our dry climate and in bright sunshine, the material ages within a few months. It would be useful for draining rainwater off a foundation, or perhaps making a short electrical connection between two rigid links, but to make a flexible connection it would instantly sag and change shape under gravity due to slight water runoff. Garden hose aimed at the roof. It's really hard to open, but at this point it immediately shows signs of wear.

Pros
  • Easy to install on drain pipe
Cons
  • No instructions
