checked and found a bad crankshaft sensor, replaced with this part and fixed all problems

the car started to idle and the EPC light came on. checked and found the crankshaft sensor to be malfunctioning, replaced it with this part and all the issues have been resolved. I've been told to only buy VW sensors but this is the second Beck-Arnley sensor I've used and both have worked well.
