Perfect for what we need
This is great for our needs. Our components are housed in a small enclosed cabinet around the corner from our wall mounted TV. The receiver is inside the case and in the little "eye" is a small blue LED that flashes when the remote reaches it. We installed an eye on the TV and you can't see it until it turns blue. We've had no problems and use it for DISH DVR and our BOSE DVD player and surround sound system.
