This is great for our needs. Our components are housed in a small enclosed cabinet around the corner from our wall mounted TV. The receiver is inside the case and in the little "eye" is a small blue LED that flashes when the remote reaches it. We installed an eye on the TV and you can't see it until it turns blue. We've had no problems and use it for DISH DVR and our BOSE DVD player and surround sound system.

This product was good value, arrived quickly and works well. I used it for a small wall mounted TV in the kitchen where there is no room for a cable box. I placed my cable box underground under the kitchen, plugged in an outlet to power the cable box and IR repeater, and routed the IR repeater cable and HDMI cable through the wall. I was pleasantly surprised how well the IR repeater works and the TV in the kitchen isn't cluttered with a cable TV box.

As I write this I am still trying to find information about the manufacturer of this product. The instructions on all 2 pages (on one page) don't mention who is doing it. Simply put, despite the relatively easy installation process, once you use the IR repeaters to close your device's IR receiver windows, good luck to get them working without any problems. Installation was easy enough but this thing just didn't work. Several times when hooking it up I tried repositioning the receiver and blaster transmitters by gluing them back and forth to the front of the cable box in the IR receiver area, mounting them in a cabinet, back and forth etc. Out of probably 30 I have it tries different placement combinations, the best i could do was 10% work rate. I bought this for a guy who wanted his cable box in a closet. All together, pretty easy. The blue light is flashing and even my IR port (which I plugged in to test). I can't control anything on this cable box. Then I put the flasher on the Blu-ray player and can of course control it. What the hell!
