Review on Shapton Glass Stone 8000 Grit - Superior High-Performance Sharpening Tool by Rodney Gonzalez

I love Shapton stones, they remove steel faster than anything I've tried and let me tell you I've tried several over the years. They also remain much flatter than traditional water stones; The downside, of course, is that they're harder to straighten. They sell a diamond grinder for about $300, yes I declined and just use much cheaper diamond grindstones and it works great. Now I have 220, 1000, 4000 and 8000 Shapton glass stones and pretty much everything. the rest (diamond and various water stones) remains in the sharpening box except for the belt.
