My old DC17 broke. Had to order parts and been without a vacuum for weeks. I have multiple dogs so I need something. Read the reviews. Decided to give this one Available to order model despite some bad reviews 45 days later I still don't like this machine I find the hose part difficult to operate without pinching The mechanism that keeps the machine upright is "wobbly" I don't know how I do it problem...sometimes it sticks and stays upright sometimes the handle tilts another issue with the cable the cable keeps wrapping around the ball and wheels the only good thing about these issues while I'm using the machine ,is that it really sucks a lot of dirt .So the Dyson Animal Ball 2 sucks on design traits but it's really good.I miss my old DC 17.D we klich I think I'll just use duct tape again to stop the canister.
