My sister loves it
I've been making cross stitches for years and pass it on to others when I'm done. My first counted cross stitch, very difficult, took five winters so don't give up. ;-) I finished this for my sister in a few months for her new home. I gave her three mason jar templates to choose from and she chose this one. The background is stamped so the actual sewing is quick. The pattern is very nice, but the floss remains. The finished product is exactly as shown in the photo. IMO, I guess a "newbie" wouldn't find this all that intimidating.
