I used this controller to build a 3D printer heater . The device is cheap but functional. The instructions that came with it were pretty poor, but if you read them a few times you can figure it out. I was also helped by a YouTube video tutorial that explains how to build a heater for a 3D printer. By following the instructions and manual I was able to set the current temperature, C or F reading, maximum heating value, temperature set point and controller mode. After setting the ambient temperature (using another thermometer as a reference) I didn't notice any change. temperature shifts.
