I wish they existed when I was younger! I gave in and bought these for both knees with a fabric knee pad to wear underneath. I would not recommend wearing them without a knee brace as the flows that allow you to bend your knee may compress your skin. I'll be wearing both relentlessly when I play soccer when I'm 35 and it's amazing! When my knees try to rotate too much to one side when changing direction during a soccer game, these knee pads keep my knee snug and comfortable to keep it properly aligned. It's like feeling extra heavy tendons around the tendons! It didn't slow me down or limit my gaming. I can play just as hard and run as fast as before. I really like how easy it is to put them on and take them off while playing. Once you attach them with Velcro, they won't open. This is a really well made and thoughtful design. I wish I had had those years ago. Absolutely worth the money at $80 each compared to knee surgery = priceless.
