Review on Standard Relay 35874 by Four Seasons by Doug Hinrichsen

Worked great to replace the A/C solenoid relay on my 2004 Solara for 1/4 the price the dealer was asking for. Update as I am about to purchase one for my 2003 Corolla. What is that? This is a time delay switch with a built in fuse. Look at the relay diagram. The time delay prevents the A/C clutch from engaging/disengaging too quickly, which can reduce the life of your compressor over time. Any relay rated at 30 amps will work momentarily. I'm testing my old relay to see if that's the problem by swapping it with the horn relay. There probably isn't any time delay. If I need air conditioning for a few days while I wait, I leave it at home. What is the time delay? I don't know exactly, but it seems like a second. I got around to it by putting this relay on my horn and honking the horn, a slight delay. Hope this information helps you.
