Review on MisterArt by Christopher Landeros

I was looking for a new website that sells art supplies and I came across Misterart.com . The store's website looked impressive and thorough. However, when I started to dig deeper into the site, not everything is quite as it appeared in the beginning.

First impressions are important.



Misterart.com 's website has an impressive layout with lots of colors that makes you want to stay there forever. However, they don't show that many pictures of their products - only one per category plus they pull up three random items from each product line right after you click on it (in order to make you think there are more available).  The color palette also seemed very exclusive at first, but I realized that it's very limited to the range of colors that you can find in a Crayola box.

They also have a "Featured Artists" section which is a nice touch, but their selection is quite random and there's not much information about each artist.



Ordering process

The ordering process was straightforward. I selected the items I wanted and placed them in my cart, then checkout was easy as well. They don't have any coupon codes or discounts available on their website, which is a bit of a letdown.

Misterart.com offers free shipping on orders over $75 which is great! However, I was disappointed to see that they don't offer expedited shipping options. It took almost 20 days for my order to arrive which is a long time if you need something quickly like me. They did the right thing and the package was well-protected, but it's still too much in my opinion especially since they don't offer custom boxes either (they kind of just throw everything into a single box and then ship it out).

I wasn't able to find any information about their return policy so I contacted their customer support through chat to ask them about this matter. The rep told me that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so I asked how long do I have from receiving the product to let them know about an issue. She told me 5 business days - definitely not enough time in my opinion so I was very disappointed to see this. It's good to hear that they can handle returns, but it seems like you won't be able to get your money back if you suddenly decide that the product isn't for you after all unless there is some kind of issue with it.

The site has an impressive layout with lots of colors making you want to stay there forever but they don't show many pictures of their products or detailed descriptions about the artists which makes it difficult for customers to know what they're looking at (or buy).
