Review on MikroTik Dual-Concurrent Access Point: hAP ac Lite RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US by Chu Mei Hua ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

With this approach, I was able to put up a dependable and secure home network consisting of a smart TV set that was powered by 5GHz Internet over the air, as well as two laptops, two smart phones, two printers, and a tablet. After powering on the router and logging into the web interface, I started to get a grasp on what winbox is and why having it is necessary. The fun begins with setting up from a web muzzle, which requires a continual login. Even though having years of knowledge, I was astonished by the network, settings, and other aspects of the system, and I felt like a helpless child. Keenetik Extra is an example of one such solution; I purchased it to replace this router after I had handed it over to another person. Although having giant functionality is beneficial, there are other solutions that are just as reliable and simple to configure for the most important tasks. Do not get on this minibus if you are not an experienced information technology specialist or a system administrator. Find trusted brands that offer solutions that make life easier for housewives. On this particular router, running a DLNA server without a device supporter is utterly and completely impossible. There is a wide variety of advice to be found on online discussion forums, such as "buy a cheap d-link to it specifically for DLNA," "select a virtual router and install OpenWRT with DLNA there," and "much more." However, if you take a router for your home, in my opinion, everything should be there at once, and it should work right out of the box. There is no question that QuickSet ought to be.

Pros
  • 1. A trustworthy brand of pre-top 2. Does not in any way slow down cable and wafer speeds. 3. Huge amount of potential configurations (this is also a minus, see comment) 4. A design that is understated and does not put on airs 5. The antennas on the inside of the device are very powerful 6. A Universal Serial Bus 2.0 port for everything at the same time.
Cons
  • 1. The box for the minibus is made of paper and is very flimsy. 2. The only way to samba is to dance with a tambourine; ftp is much simpler. 3. There is no DLNA, and enabling it would be a very difficult and time-consuming endeavor; the reward for accomplishing this would be unknown, and it would not be a positive outcome. 4. Extensive opportunities for personalization (see comment)
