I have quite a few jackets in my closet and am a bit of a gear freak, but I've worn out my last durable shell jacket and I'd give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how many features you get for the price. It's easy to spend $500 on a premium case these days, and this one will do me much better. A nice and high collar keeps the wind out, I don't usually like a buff or a scarf so I found that a nice feature. The cuffs are snug around the wrist so you don't have to worry about water or snow getting into the sleeves, especially when you're active. The construction is good and I'm not worried about how it will hold up as the material is pretty durable too. The only criticism of the jacket is that it is a bit larger than I expected. In my case, I like to take advantage of the extra layering space on those very cold outings, but others may want to scale down depending on their preferences.
