Review on πŸ’§ APEC Water Systems RO-CTOP-C: Portable Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System – Install-Free, Fits Most Standard Faucets by Thomas Unruh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

LOTS of sewage!

Benefits: Delicious water. Easy to connect in two minutes. Has a flow switch to divert water away from the filters when you need to run hot water or wash dishes. Cons: Very slow depending on the water pressure. Our pressure is normal, not high, and a liter jug is filled in 20 minutes. In addition, it produces as much (or slightly more) "undrinkable" water as plain water. I had never used a reverse osmosis system before and was shocked by the amount of water. I've potted it and watered the flowers, but wow, with heavy use, I see the water bill going up. Also, the cleaned water outlet pipe just hangs there. I screwed a mug hook into a nearby closet to hang the hose and remove the hose from the rack. UPDATE: I upgraded it from 2 stars to 5 stars as it does what it's supposed to do which is clean water. Bought some testers and he lowered the PPM from 166 to 19. I was concerned about the pH but tap water is 8.05 and purified water is 8.35. The FDA says the water should be between 6.5 and 8.5, so I don't care. I was a bit concerned about the lack of minerals in the water and the minerals being washed out of my body, so I bought drops to add to the water to bring the minerals back. They sell a version with a limescale filter that makes the water more alkaline. This is https://www.amazon.com/APEC-Countertop-Water-Installation-Free-RO-CTOP-PH/dp/B06XY8CHL2/ref=sr_1_3.
