Can't be used as I can't remove the button to connect

Obviously this button can work. I was able to connect it as I saw fit. But since I couldn't remove the button from the insert, I couldn't make sure the connections were correct. It sits in my project box until I remove the button. The ring around the button does not want to move so the button can be removed. But one day it might move.
