Review on 🔳 Black Camouflage Suitical Recovery Suit for Cats by Carrie Tunks

I don't normally write reviews but I knew I had to share this! OMG I was so happy when I found this and was able to have it delivered the next day! It literally saved my poor kitty's major surgical wound, but most importantly, our collective sanity! After staying up all night watching my terribly ill post-op cat BLASHINGLY hide in the litter box trying to get the pubic cone off her neck, I was desperate to find another solution! To be honest she did NOT like the costume and was unhappy when I put it on her and the first few hours but she got used to it pretty quickly. Since she had to wear it for over 10 days, I ended up ordering a second suit every other day to take off and wash one every other day. I ordered size xxs and it fits my tall/thin 8.lb well but I don't want it to go any smaller. I found the shoulders and neck quite tight so I pulled and stretched the fabric a bit before putting them on her and then made another stretch/adjustment around the neck, shoulders and stomach where her stitches/ were wound. Basically, the quality of the fabric and the perfect stretch allowed me to tailor/fit the suits comfortably yet safely. I actually thought the snug fit might have put her at ease. I was concerned that the fabric would rub against their seams, but I checked them every day and there were no problems. The costume also appeared to be quite breathable and it healed beautifully! In addition, the design of the costume and the cutouts are perfectly placed, and she had no trouble with the toilet, and the costume did not get dirty from the toilet. Washes well (air dry recommended). One piece of advice I read in another review before buying and that seems important to me: give your kitty some costume-free time each day so they can groom themselves. Every night for a few hours I lay a towel next to me on the sofa and let my kitty relax, groom and spend time out of costume. This appeared to be very important to her overall well being and satisfaction during her recovery. Then I would give her a treat when I changed her into a different/clean suit. Basically, I can't recommend this costume enough! It was literally a godsend as my cat's cone remained free, safe for the wound and also allowed me not to hawk-watch her every second. To be honest I don't know why they don't sell them at pet stores or other pet stores! Thank you Suitik!
