
Tough, reliable tool for repeated use. I had bad experiences with the cheaper version of this tool. Teeth sheared off trying to loosen the cam sprocket bolts on a customer's XC90 2.5T. The camshaft was spinning and I was worried the valves were bent, but luckily all the pistons were halfway up and out of the way. This tool showed no signs of fatigue after use. Worth the extra money! It is recommended when replacing the exhaust cam seal due to leaks that the VVT exhaust cam hub is also replaced. If you're sporadically leaking heavy oil, it's the hub. A constant little leak, that's an oil seal. You will also need Crankshaft Locking Pin 999-5451 (located behind the starter) to set the correct time once the sprockets are removed.
