Another John Wayne Classic Movie Great Music

This is a 1955 John Wayne Classic Old Drama. Yes, it's dated from the actors, acting, events, etc., but it is still an interesting movie. The musical accompaniment has proven itself and is still a pleasure to listen to. John Wayne portrays a typical old school hero that is so seldom portrayed. He takes control when needed to save the day and get everyone safely grounded with a safe landing at the end. I really liked the little things that are shown in the film. Things that were acceptable in the mid-fifties but were no longer allowed. like what Carry a pistol in your pocket on the plane, carry a fifth of the alcohol on board, everyone smokes on the plane, an unlocked door for the pilot and crew, 4 people in the cockpit including the navigator, a cot for the crew you rest alternate between long flights and comfortable looking passenger sets. It's a glimpse into the past in many ways. Some of the "glare" is removed from easily recognizable scenes from the film, which were borrowed almost 25 years later in the making of The Great and Mighty's comedy Airplane. However, it's a fun movie to watch when nothing else is on and you're looking for a fun alternative to today's movie selection.

Pros
