I bought this to complement my new Mini M1, to get some more ports, an SD reader and more hard drive space. Turns out that thing really is a piece of shit. Once I put the SSD in it worked fine but the speed was useless! The whole purpose of this SSD connected to a USB-C port was to have additional storage that would be fast. That wasn't the case, I got write speeds of around 100Mbps and read speeds of 90Mbps, MUCH lower than what the drive can handle. That's not all, the SD card was also incredibly slow (no, I didn't download any images from the SD card when testing the drive). The 2 main functions of this dock are almost useless, hence it is being returned.
