The cat loves it, definitely cheap production

My cat loves this tree! Cats love to look around and stay on top of things, and this perch has definitely helped her come out of her shell and become more confident. Now it's cheaply made and I honestly don't think it's worth $100 BUT there isn't a scratching post on the market that is that reasonably priced. So I agree with the recommendation. Conventional carpeted scratching posts are such a thorn in the side, they have a huge footprint and look tacky so quickly. In comparison, this minimalist design is nice and compact, not to mention it gives the cat the greatest possible height. It was a little annoying to install and I'm not going to remove it, but the fact that it's suitable for an apartment is a big plus. As others have pointed out, the stands are made out of cardboard - they're sturdy for a cat, but you could be in trouble if you over-tighten when attaching them. just be careful Once installed I find this wood very durable. The sisal rope is not tied very tightly so my cat's favorite spots were exposed when the rope shifted on the pole. I'll be cutting up the racks soon and because of that along with the cheap construction I can't give 5 stars. I still like the look and recommend this tree to my friends. By the way, my cat is only 8 pounds and her perches are just big enough. She sleeps up there, but one day she fell down in her sleep, probably because the platform is a bit small. If you have a larger cat, she will still enjoy it but may not be able to fully lounge on the perches.
