Review on 🚦 Partsam 60" LED Tailgate Light Bar Truck Tail Light LED Strip - Universal Replacement for Pickups, RVs, and SUVs - Red/White Reverse Brake Turn Signal Lights by Carl Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Says compatible with F150. 2016 needs fixed cable to rear light

I am very happy with it. I installed it on my 2016 F150 Platinum. I like that the kit comes with a tape for the whole light strip and not just 4 points. I also have self tapping screws and plastic holders that I didn't use because I didn't want to drill my new truck. Duct tape should do. Installation was easy once you had enough help to remove the tailgate. There are some bolts for the F150 and some kind of bar for trucks that have a step in the tailgate. Some people on the forums have successfully removed this with no problems. I just bent this strip over the screws instead of taking them off. I also hooked it up to the back of the trailer wiring and hooked up the reversing lights there, but that made the truck think the trailer was plugged in and it kept turning off the blind spot detection and reversing sensors. I had to rewire the taillight. Since these are really truck only issues (all people who install them have this issue no matter what lane they use) I gave 5 stars anyway. I bought a Y adapter for trailer wiring which Revain recommended I will never use again. That's what I get when I'm impatient. When installing, first test the device for proper operation and then make sure you route the wiring on the driver's side, otherwise you will need to connect by twisting left/right. The flexibility for this comes in two ways, it means you can stand up the block crooked/wavy which you can prevent, but it also means you can do what I did and iterate over some screws that might get in the way unnecessarily. The instructions weren't very good, but there are plenty of videos online on how to install these things. I would suggest some built in hardwire stubs (NOT for the new F150's trailer harness). I wish the headlights were a little closer together but for the price it's good. Maybe I'll update it later if I feel the need, but I'm pretty happy with the look.
