My wife bought this coffee maker for me over a year ago. Six months in, the unit just would not brew; I contacted customer service and they sent me a new base, at a shipping cost of nearly $30 (ridiculous). I paid it because I love the brewer that much. Six months later.same issue. Like a moron, I scrapped that unit and purchased a brand new one. So far, it is fine and I do love it, but if I have the same issue again, I'll give up on it and will update this review with only one star. In other words, be advised of potential issues when purchasing this coffee maker.
